Island Coast High School, Cape Coral, Fla.Island Coast High School opened in August, 2008, replacing temporary class accommodations. With a capacity of 2,100, the contemporary style three-story facility incorporates science and computer labs, cafeteria and auditorium to prepare students for the increasingly complex demands of 21st century life. As with the other School District of Lee County facilities, Island Coast High School represented a complete turnkey project for Contrax Furnishings. No furniture from the temporary site was used. The Contrax Furnishings project manager worked with the school’s general contractor from the building plans, and held frequent meetings with the principal in key selection processes. Space planning, furniture selection and all other critical areas were addressed by Contrax Furnishings in providing Island Coast High School with the infrastructure and fixtures necessary to create a leading-edge academic environment. The post-installation final walk-through for which Contrax Furnishings is known was conducted by the company’s project manager, and Island Coast High School’s principal and assistant principal. The purpose of the walk-through is for all concerned parties to ensure the installation is complete to satisfaction. The Final project walk-through includes verification of delivery and installation of all products, identification of punch items and service issues, and feedback to Contrax Furnishings sales staff on the final results. "The way that Contrax Furnishings’ team works is phenomenal," said a School District of Lee County staff member. "If something needs attention, they are there to fix it. They follow up with everyone and get feedback from our staff. They take care of everything. Working with Contrax Furnishings has definitely made a positive impact on our school system."
